New age media.

"Young people in particular are experiencing this change in communication, with all the anxieties, challenges and creativity typical of those open with enthusiasm and curiosity to new experiences in life. Their ever greater involvement in the public digital forum, created by the so-called social networks, helps to establish new forms of interpersonal relations, influences self-awareness and therefore inevitably poses questions not only of how to act properly, but also about the authenticity of one’s own being. Entering cyberspace can be a sign of an authentic search for personal encounters with others, provided that attention is paid to avoiding dangers such as enclosing oneself in a sort of parallel existence, or excessive exposure to the virtual world. In the search for sharing, for “friends”, there is the challenge to be authentic and faithful, and not give in to the illusion of constructing an artificial public profile for oneself." - MESSAGE OF HIS HOLINESS POPE BENEDICT XVI FOR THE 45th WORLD COMMUNICATIONS DAY

You know, sitting back and looking at it, digital communication can be pretty scary. I mean, look at how it's addled with my brains. (Seriously.) I could go for hours on the Internet without even looking at the time. And it's not like I'm doing anything worthwhile, unless it's BBC, or Catholic sites, or scholarship details. The rest of it pretty much serves to distract me for the rest of the day, delude me from the truth, make me take note of and indirectly numb me to abhorrently wrong subjects, infuriate me to think positively negative thoughts, consummate me with negative emotions and, at the end of the day, stop me from doing anything right.

And that's just me. What about those other teenage kids out there who aren't even aware of what's happening them and how the Internet is practically sucking their very souls?!
Our generation is headed for damnation, I tell you.
So many young people out there, what with being caught up with things like tweeting their mind-numbing daily activities, illegally downloading TV series', reblogging soft porn, violence and vulgarities and obsessing over their 'friends' online activities, are totally blind to the outside world. Blind. And more and more are becoming so each day.
Worse still, coorporations and organizations can (and are) indirectly imposing their opinions and mindsets on these oblivious farts so that one day, they can create a mass army of like-minded drones to do their bidding. So global conspirancy, but still. Just because the truth is absurd, doesn't mean it's any less the truth. But to tell you the truth, that kind of truth is just so subjective. There is only one truth.

Point: digital communication = bad if not handled right.
Me - not very good at handling things right.
Digital communication = bad for Sammie.
